My TOP 20 FAVORITE SCRIPTURES

The more I study the Bible, the more I discover scriptures that I love; however, I thought it would be a fun to share some scriptures I frequently reference during both joyous and trying times. I decided to include words that I have highlighted in my own bible. The highlighted areas help me read the scripture more slowly and help me emphasize the parts of the scripture I really want to be reminded of.  I have also included links so you can reference them yourself in any version of the Bible you prefer (I personally read KJV).  Please comment below and tell me some of your favorite scriptures and let me know if we have any in common.

  1. 2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV : If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. https://www.bible.com/bible/1/2ch.7.14
  2. Matthews 6:33 KJV: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” https://www.bible.com/bible/1/mat.6.33.kjv
  3. Romans 12:2 KJV “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” https://www.bible.com/bible/1/rom.12.2.kjv
  4. Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”https://www.bible.com/bible/1/pro.3.5.kjv
  5. Romans 8:28 KJV “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. https://www.bible.com/bible/1/rom.8.28.kjv
  6. Philippians 4:7 KJV “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” https://www.bible.com/bible/1/php.4.7.kjv
  7. Romans 8:18 KJV For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. https://www.bible.com/bible/1/rom.8.18
  8. Hebrews 12:1 KJV Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. https://www.bible.com/bible/1/heb.12.1
  9. 1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. https://www.bible.com/bible/1/1co.10.13
  10. Proverbs 16:3 KJV Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. https://www.bible.com/bible/1/pro.16.3
  11. Proverbs 10:22 KJV The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
  12. https://www.bible.com/bible/1/pro.10.22
  13. Isaiah 55:9 KJV For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. https://www.bible.com/bible/1/ISA.55.9.KJV
  14. 1 Peter 5:6 KJV “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:” https://www.bible.com/bible/1/1pe.5.6.kjv

  16. Psalm 116:12 KJV What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me? https://www.bible.com/bible/1/psa.116.12
  17. 2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” https://www.bible.com/bible/1/2co.12.9
  18. James 1:2-8 “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. https://www.bible.com/bible/1/jas.1.2-8.kjv
